Sofa cushions do collapse over time but Kate and Phill continued to use the furniture until it was in this condition.

Kate contacted us online and requested the below

On arrival one of our service technicians removed the base cloth which is located on the underside of the sofa to find snapped webbing and that the cushions had moved past the webbing straps where the furniture had continued to be used.

As this picture shows the sofa seats have been over used and left passed it’s best for the webbing straps to rub causing them to snap, then with further use have caused for the cushion to break up.

The technician has unbolted the seating area to enable them to replace the broken webbing and re position the seating area cushion, once this has been completed the technician has re padded the seating area cushion to boost the padding, this is completed from the underside of the cushion. No work has been completed on
the top side of led the cushion.

Customer had contacted our customer service team asking if we could arrange for a technician to re visit them as they have a lump on the top of there seat cushion, our service team had advised that no work was undertaken at top of the seat cushions and advised this would not be a result of the works that had been completed and that if they have a issue with the top of the seat cushion that they would need to be replaced.

Customer has sent numerous emails back and forth saying that they assumed we were replacing the seat cushions when this was not requested nor quoted for, then asked for a technician to re visit to re stuff the cushion even tho they assumed we had replaced the cushion, we have again advised that if the cushion is lumpy this would be due to the cushion and that it would need to be replaced, Kate went on to say the cushion was not lumpy before the appointment.

After rebooking at the picture you can see the edging of the sprung cushion which is causing the lump,

Kate has gone on to leave a negative review on Trustpilot as we would not offer a free appointment to correct an issue that we was not employed to complete, we do think adding these pages gives context to these situations and reviews so that real customers get to see both sides of the story. It’s a shame that people abuse sites like Trustpilot when they do not get their own way.
